Rumination #1

How on earth has the USA managed to become a third world country in the matter of a mere 6 months? If somebody would have told me back in 1980 that we would have to borrow money from the communist Chinese to keep our country afloat, I would have dismissed it as tin-foil hat talk.

California is paying its bills with IOUs, General Motors and Chrysler are owned by the government and all our leaders can think about are new ways to spend money we don't have. It's going to get much worse before it gets better.

Is there anybody out there who can save us? I think not. Washington D.C. is rotten to the core. The media is corrupt and a significant number of Americans simply don't care. Michael Jackson's death is of much more concern to the MTV generation.

Good-bye America, I will miss you.

  1. Hi Pops! I am so glad that you have finally established your own blog. It's about time! This poor, poor country could certainly use your wisdom.

In answer to your question: How did we become a third world country over the past six months?

I believe this has been happening for decades, although the last six months have seen a ramped up flurry of leftist activity. The sheeple have been complacently sleeping while our government grew, and spent, and over-stepped its authority.

Like a cancer with a central mass, the government has discarded the limits of the Constitution and reached its malignant tendrils into areas of the private sector.

But don't say "good bye" to America yet! I believe the T.E.A. (Taxed Enough Already) parties are gaining ground as more people revive from their stupor. It's up to people like you and me to keep people informed and to provide encouragement.
